The photographer Wolfram Hahn became known through the portrait series Entzaubert (2006) and Into the Light (2014—15). Both works are critical examinations of the use of media and the location of the subject in the social structure. His works Plastic Bags (2014—15) and Burgbergstraße (2017—19) were both published by Vexer Verlag, the former under the work title Draussen Dehors Outside. They bear witness to the direct influence of economics and politics on our lives and our environment.
The Berlin-based photographer has been nominated for a wide range of awards, including the C/O Berlin Talents Award (2007), the World Press Photo Award (2011), the German Photo Book Prize (2017) and the Volumes Award (2022).
Wolfram Hahn studied design at the University of Applied Sciences in Potsdam with Gisela Scheidler and Wiebke Loeper and photography at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Essen with Elisabeth Neudörfl and Christopher Muller.
